Eric Green, who has been battling a knee problem, is out for Monday Night Football. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, the No. 1 draft pick this year, will start in his place.
Also inactive are tight ends Ben Patrick and Jerame Tuman, receiver Early Doucet, defensive tackle Alan Branch, tackles Elliot Vallejo and Brandon Keith, plus third quarterback Brian St. Pierre.
Among the inactive players for the Niners are wide receiver Arnaz Battle.
